This year Hiroko Koshino, Under the auspices of the DAS (Designers Association for Designers Authorities sponsors) and JAGDA (Japan Graphic Designers Association), again Joined by the Beaujolais 2016 Label Design Exhibition held at “a&w” Wine Bar in Osaka, which held a party on releases day.
At Biwako Biennale, Koshino’s installation under a theme of “White World” along with some of the artist’s paintings were put on exhibition.
The New Year Exhibition was held at French-tasted Air gallery in Osaka, which is owned by Kenji Mitsuya, a stylist and close friend of Hiroko Koshino. The artwork, which consisted of black and gold, were very popular with the guest who appreciated their gaiety.
An exhibition consisting of Koshino's recent paintings and past paintings was held at the Daimaru Department Store Shinsaibashi in Osaka.
At the Awaji Hanahaku 2015 event, a fusion of fashion and artwork exhibited under the theme of “Symbiosis stage of Man and Nature”.
ART & DESIGN FORUM + EXHIBITION entitled ‘future story’ was held at sky Campus, ABENO HARUKAS 24th floor, Osaka University of Arts from Saturday,9th May to Wednesday, 20th May. On Sunday, 17th May, Hiroko Koshino appeared as a special guest and gave a lecture entitled ‘unlimited expression’ in which she talked about her background and how she aspired to become an artist even at a Young age. While active as a fashion designer, her presence as an artist attracts many people’s attention. She also exhibits the drawings inspired by street graffiti when she traveled to Greece. She said ‘My mission for drawing is to make people happy, just same as when I make clothes.’
Japanese traditional hand held fans -sensu and uchiwa– designed by Hiroko Koshino with her ink painting, was shown together with 7 other designers’ works held in Kyoto. (Association of Commerce and Industry) This exhibition was part of the “Rimpa 400 Year Celebration Festival”.
