Born in Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture. Keen on art and traditional arts since childhood.
Joined the art club while in Kishiwada High School and studied painting.
Moved to Tokyo and studied under the master fashion illustrator Masao Hara
while attending Bunka Fashion College.
  • In 1994, held an exhibition titled “Hiroko Koshino Exhibition” (at the Kintetsu Art-Kan in Osaka),
    displaying calligraphy and ink paintings.
  • In 2002, held an exhibition titled “Honoka to Hirameki (Dimness and Flashes of Light)” in Harajuku, Tokyo,
    and at Izutsuya department store in Kokura, Kyushu.
  • In 2003, held an exhibition titled “Works of Hiroko Koshino” (at Kintetsu Art Hall, Osaka) displaying ink paintings.
  • In 2004, held an exhibition titled “Hiroko Koshino Exhibition” (at Ashiya City Museum of Art & History) displaying ink paintings, calligraphy, and paintings.
  • In 2005, held an exhibition titled “Hiroko Koshino Exhibition – Focusing on Artworks” (at ARTCOURT Gallery, Osaka) displaying calligraphy, ink images, and paintings.
  • In 2006, produced an exhibition titled “Layers Exhibition” in collaboration with obi sash wholesaler Kondaya Genbey and architect Kengo Kuma at the Daimaru Museum inTokyo. Designed kimono sashes by applying paint directly onto fabric woven using silk from Koishimaru silkworms.
    Held an exhibition titled “Lotus – Hiroko Koshino Exhibition” at the Civic Art Gallery of the Mimei Ogawa Literature Museum in Joetsu City, displaying paintings with a lotus motif.
    Also held an exhibition titled “Hiroko Koshino Exhibition” at Yamakataya in Kagoshima and showed paintings and calligraphy.
  • In 2008, held an exhibition titled “The World Drawn by Hiroko Koshino” (at Fudenosato Kobo, Hiroshima) displaying paintings, ink images, ink paintings, and calligraphy.
  • In 2010, held an exhibition of calligraphy and paintings at Cité de l’architecture & du patrimoine in Paris.
  • In 2011, held an exhibition titled “Hiroko Koshino Creations 2011” at Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris displaying paintings.
  • In 2012, held a solo exhibition at the Galerie Hors-Champs gallery in the Marais district of Paris.
  • In 2013, renovated her private home in Ahiya, Hyogo, and opened as the KH Gallery Ashiya.
  • In 2014, held a solo exhibition at the Galerie Nicolas Deman in Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of Paris.
  • In 2015, held an exhibition titled “Hiroko Koshino exbition” (at AWAJI NAHAKU 2015 HANA-MIDORI FAIR, Hyogo) displaying paintings. Also held a solo art exhibition at the Daimaru Shinsaibashi Department Store in Osaka.
